Ante: In online Teen Patti games, an ante is a forced bet that each player has to put in the beginning of the game. Each player has to put in an equal amount of money or chips into the pot before the beginning of the deal. This could be an equal amount placed by each player or a larger amount put by a player during his turn.

Post: When a player re-enters an online Teen Patti game after taking a temporary break, he has to post or pay the required ante for the next deal. The amount to be posted has to be the amount of the ante during the time he missed them during the break.

 Blind: A blind is the forced bet placed by one or more players into the pot before the beginning of the deal. The player next to the dealer places small blind, which is half of the normal bet and the player next to the small blind bets the double of the small blind.

Chaal – Call and Raise: Regular betting begins after the force blinds are placed. The player next to the big blind has the option to call which is bringing in the same amount of double of small blind or raise the bet higher than double of small blind.

Fixed Limit: In a game of fixed-limit structure, the maximum amount that a player can bet is equal to call amount, which is the double of the amount of the last bet.

Spread Limit: In a teen patti game of spread-limit structure, a player can raise any amount mentioned in the specific game and is subject to its betting rules. For example, if a game has “Rs.5000 spread-limit” rules, then a player can raise up to Rs.5000.

Pot Limit: Pot limit betting structure allows players to raise any amount up equal to the size of the whole pot on the table of teen patti game.

No Limit: No-limit betting structure in a game of teen patti allows each player to raise any amount. There is no limitation on the betting amount.

Blind Play: Player can play teen patti without seeing their cards. When a player plays blind, he/she has to bet at least half of the current stake or bet the amount equal to the current stake. If the previous player is also playing blind, then the blind player has to bet the amount of the current stake or higher than it.

Sideshow: In teen patti, players can ask for sideshow with the player who had placed a previous bet. It is also called as backshow. If the player grants permission, both the players will show each others’ cards. The player who has the weaker hand is forced to fold. One cannot request Sideshow to blind players.

Fold: At any point of time, players can opt to quit out the deal if they think that their hand is not strong enough. If they fold (quit), they will forfeit all the money placed in the pot.

Show (down): When all players fold except for two, the hand cards of both players are exposed and compared. The player with the higher ranking had wins the pot.

Trail (three of a kind): This is the most powerful hand in teen patti games. A hand of three cards of the same rank is called as trail or three of a kind. A hand of three aces is the highest and a hand of three lows is the lowest. For example – A♦ A♦ A♦, 6♠ 6♠ 6♠ and 2♥ 2♥ 2♥

Pure Sequence (Straight Flush): A hand of three consecutive cards of the same suit is called as pure sequence or straight flush. This is the second most powerful hand in teen patti games. For example – A♥ K♥ Q♥, Q♣ J♣ 10♣ and 5♦ 6♦ 7♦

Sequence (Straight): A hand of three consecutive cards which are not all in the same suit is called as sequence or straight. For example – A♦ K♣ Q♥, Q♣ J♦ 10♥ and 5♥ 6♦ 7♣

Colour (Flush): A hand of three cards of the same suit but not in a sequence is called as colour or flush. The highest is A♥ K♥ J♥ and the lowest is 5♥ 3♥ 2♥.

Pair (two of a kind): A hand with two cards of the same rank is called a pair or two of a kind. If the two players have the same pair, then the player with kicker with higher value is the winner. The highest pair is A♥ A♠ K♣ and the lowest is 2♠ 2♥ 3♣.

High Card: A hand of three cards which is not a pair, sequence, flush, trail or pure sequence is called as high card. The best high card hand in teen patti would be AKJ A♦ K♣ J♥ and the lowest would be is 5♠ 3♥ 2♣.
